A shattered shadow lay across his unrevealing face, leaving only one gray eye visible to all who chose to look. He watched as two students from the academy walked into the pub and sat down at the bar across the room from him. Yes. The academy. The same one he had went to, and had graduated from but only three year ago. The place where he first got the notion that he was destined to become what he is. A Rogue.

           

            A man stood silent by a door. Next to him stood a friend. They stood looking in the door, watching the excitement.

            "I can wait. I must wait. If I go now, nothing will come of it. If I wait, I'll have a chance." The man said, breaking the silence.

            "But think of the timing. You have a perfect opportunity to do it now. Why wait for it when it is just in your grasp?" the friend questioned.

             

 

              I sat with my friend at the Coffee Shop two days before tomorrow. We were sitting, drinking are drinks, and just talking about things. The news, school, friends, all those things people talk about. Then we got on a subject.

           

            A man sat at the edge of the cliff, watching the waves on the horizon as the sun held its position high above him. He sat against a large, smooth boulder he had placed on the cliff years ago, he legs bent with his elbows on his knees.

           

            I am torn.

            Between these two things, these two paths, this split in the road, I am torn.

            I know not what lay for me at either end of the two. The one side, the one path, I have already taken a step onto. I thought long and hard about it before taking that step. I had worked so many things out in my head, making sure I was going in the right direction. But now I find myself sometimes questioning it.
